Since the establishment of the Housing Court in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1981, the late partner of the firm, Attorney Ivan A. Hirsch, devoted his practice exclusively to landlord and tenant law, with a particular emphasis on summary process eviction actions. In 1993, Attorney Ivan A. Hirsch and Attorney Sharon L. Levy became partners and founded the law firm of Hirsch & Levy, L.L.C. The firm continues to dedicate its full time practice to specializing in summary process evictions and related matters dealing with the landlord and tenant relationship. Over the years, the firm has handled at least 10,000 cases in the Housing Court in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The firm handles eviction matters in the Housing Sessions of the Bridgeport and Norwalk courts. Premises located in the following cities or towns are within the jurisdiction of the:

1. Bridgeport Housing Court: Bridgeport/Black Rock, Easton, Fairfield/Southport, Monroe, Stratford, and Trumbull; and

2. Norwalk Housing Court: Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Rowayton, Stamford, Weston, Westport and Wilton, Connecticut.
